We are excited to make an announcement regarding SOME of our plans, projects, and general doings for 2013 (outside of playing shows, of course). In the coming weeks, we will begin tracking for several releases this year, three of which are split 7”s we have already announced: a split 7” with CENTER OF THE SUN via Self Aware Records a split 7” with THE FAKE BOYS via Bitter Melody Records and a split 7” with LATE BLOOMER via Kiss of Death Records We’re pretty damn excited, so keep your eyes and ears open for info regarding those babies. As for the releases we haven’t brought up yet, those announcements will come in due time. We can’t talk about them yet (we don’t wanna jinx it, ya know), but chances are you’ll almost be as excited as we are. Trust us when we say that no secret is too tiny.     End of Summer Jams

    Welp, a lot has been going on in Fling Land. Our drummer, Travis, is vacating the throne he founded in our band and starting a career as a trucker. We’ll miss you sweet baby love, but are proud of you growing up to be part of America’s backbone.

    Self Aware Records have officially announced on their Facebook page that they will be hosting preorders for our full-length NEXT WEEK! Mark you calendars: head over to the Self Aware Records webstore on August 1st and reserve your copy of SPITE on hot wax! The first 100 preorders get it on sexy red vinyl. There will only be 300 LPs pressed this go ‘round, so get on it with the quickness.

    On May 4th, we’ll be entering the studio to record our first full-length, “SPITE”, which will be released jointly via BITTER MELODY RECORDS and SELF-AWARE RECORDS. We are very excited to share with you the evolution of our sound from our early Demo CD. It’s always a little funny sending people a link or CD to songs that you personally don’t feel embody the sound and aesthetic of your band. Not the songs themselves, you see, but how they are conveyed musically. Those songs are being re-recorded to match what we feel is a better representation of Old Flings, as they are perfectly good songs and need not be thrown away. We hope you will love this record as much as we do. Thank you to everyone who has been consistently coming to see us play since our very first show with Iron Chic back at the Edge Frat and to everyone who buys shit from us or offers us shows to play! We are so excited to carry this torch on and play music that not only we love to play, but we love to share with you.
