Good morning! We are pleased to release the video for our broken-hearted love song, “Grip” today. The song can be found on our upcoming full-length, SPITE. The film was shot and edited by Miriam Allison, a dear friend and fellow artist.
The intention of this project isn’t so much to have a “music video,” but to use another medium of media-based art to promote the upcoming album while simultaneously promoting Miriam’s artistic abilities. Hence why we opted out of performing in the film, like in traditional music videos.
Special thanks are due to Jake and Shannon and the other the folks at Sylvan House (aka Titty Town) for letting us use their house, to Miriam for being a wonderful friend and being so passionate about this project, to all of our friends who made it out to be in the video, to Samantha and Maggie for making cakes for the shoot, and especially to Ryan and Brenna Sheffield, our actors and dear, dear friends, for pretending like they aren’t the sweetest, most loving married couple for a day so they could “break-up” on camera.
We hope you enjoy the song, the film, and the story as a whole! Thank you!
